I've been looking at some lowrider sites and saw all this talk about 'cutting whitewall tires'.

What does this mean ? are they cutting wide whites to be small , because they run such small tires and cannot get the smaller size in a white wall ?

    Im confused

    Someone help me

on white letter or skinny whites the whole side wall has a layer of white behind the black so you can grind (or cut) the side wall down to expose the white. ever notice on the pas side of a car when the tires look like a wide white from scrubbin curbs?

i got some tires cut before, its great but a ***** to keep clean.

if you find an old school tire guy he probly would have the tool to do it.

What they mean is they are taking a stock tire that appears to have a smaller whitewall but underneath is is alot wider. They remove your tire from the rim and mount it on a machine that looks like a balancer and ther is a handle with a sander on it and the san on the edge of the witewall as far as they can to the edge without messing up. It is a slow process but works wonders on a tire. Really easy way of getting around those high dollar prices of getting Coker WWW or etc. Mine were 15$ a tire and I love them. Hope this helps
