After seeing the thread for the HCPU I was wondering who drove the farthest to the Drags. I know it's about 1200 miles each way for me. About the same for the Phoenix crew. Flamedabone is in Charleston, SC, about 1100 or so. Anyhone drive farther?

about 15 miles or so? for me.....

  3. Does Michelle get points for flying from Boston to Chicago (980 miles) and then driving 578 miles with me? 1478 total. I know flying is cheating.

I met a couple from Sydney Austrailia who were driving by and stopped in to watch the races and walk in the pits.

While obviously not the farthest, it's still ~550 (1100 mile round trip) miles for us from Indy. Quite the haul.

El P hits it pretty hard all the way from Arizona...1200 ish??

For the record....after the Drags, I still have to go way up north to see my Momma before I make the trip back to S Carolina. Just shy of 3000 before it is all said and done...

But, I really don't care, if the Drags were in Africa, I would still find a way to get there.

    See you in August, -Abone.

If you count pulling a dragster from Florida, it's only about a 1200 mile one way for me.

Not to take away from the original intent of this thread- which is to congratulate those HAMBers that drive considerable distances to get to the HAMB Drags.

Always great to see my East Coast brothers at the Drags!

    Thank you!!!

(as far as the couch goes, you'll have to ask Pete what he was doing to make it squeek)
