It happens. Move on and realize that many many cars have been worked on and built in sheds with dirt floors, or loose board floors, or just plain mud when it rains.

yeah and like the guy above me said..go snag 4 pieces of 1/2" plywood..go for it off that for now

Or talk to a local cement company, and find out how often they have left over loads of ready pour, with no where to take it? Maybe you can score a deal by getting it only as 1 and 2 yards at a time.

    Or...

Go to your local big box home improvement store, and offer to buy their busted bags of Quickrete and mix up a bunch yourself. I know my local HD sells the busted bags for $5 each.

Also, check out the Garage Journal for ideas and stuff. Plenty of us either without cement, shade or both!

I started building my shop and when I looked around the only Cement Co available wanted $1600.oo to lay down a '24 x '24 slab. That would have been $1000.oo profit for them so (being poor) I mixed it myself at $1.09 a bag.
I bought bags of cement and poured them myself with an electric mixer. I cut a 24 foot expanse in half and poured 18 inches wide at a time moving across the 12 foot.
I would work from side to side and skreet it. I worked alone,,still do. It took me 3 days to pour 520 bags but the floor was done.
I then moved onto constructing my house,,so far I've poured 1280 bags total.
I just added on a '30 x '40 but that 'll be too big to tackle in a week or so straight. I may do it over several months,, a little here a little there,or I could sell a car and have the truck come out. I don't do loans or credit,,just as it happens to work out.

Or better yet, sell the tickets and buy bags of concrete...and get your *** in gear, like Markzrodz did!
Even if you do one car spot at a time!

  19. Use road base not gravel. It contains dust and can be compacted. Spread it even wet it down and run a Vibraplate over it. Then broom Portland cement over it and lightly water it again. I've done many a Redneck driveways like this. The extra cement gives it a hard shell. It works way better than just gravel and never forget your fridge box to lay on.

Been there, done that. **** it up. Sell those Metallica tickets and get something started. A shed with a dirt floor is better than no shed at all !!
