Just got back from looking over a batch of old stuff that's being sold at auction tomorrow. This is a farm collection that spans almost 100 years. A whole pile of Model T cars and parts, plus a few other goodies. I'm going back tomorrow to hopefully bring home a couple of projects. Enjoy the pics! These trucks aren't in the auction but apparently can be bought. One AD Chev and a couple of Dodges. This '46-7 Dodge panel is not part of the auction.
There's just something about old cars at a farm auction that gets me excited!!! Buy them all!!! As for the snow We have the same amount here.
I think You have more of all (both cars and snow, we got some snow thou...) It looks like some of those cars could be a start of something. best regards sir.tooby
Hopefully the snow keeps some folks away and you're one of the few car bidders. Panel truck and some of the T's look really straight
I like that Dodge Panel Truck - lot's of cool T stuff too. Good luck bidding! Brrrrrr.... looks cold there
The T you're talking about is a cut-off touring car with a home made picup bed out back. Ford actually didn't offer a T roadster pickup until 1925, yes, only 1925 in the early series of pickups. Many many T roadsters had the turtle deck removed and a factory T bed installed as they offered the beds at the Ford dealers for that purpose. That is why there are a lot of 23-24 roadster pickups but none of them was a factory offering until 1925. Then the 26-27 came out with the new body and a different bed.
WHOA!!!!! Looks like some great projects even some easy ones there. A couple touring/phaetons to boot. Good luck
No stake beds? I love the sedan delivery. I am still kinda shocked when collections like this show up, and stoked when they are for sale, instead of destined to rot until the owner dies.
Iced T! Haha! Yeah, we got a ton of snow here way earlier than we should have, and temps are below normal. Highs tomorrow are forecast for +4C (about 38F). Should make for an interesting day tomorrow at the auction. I'll post sale prices when I get back from it. I'm only really interested in two of them, the '27 touring and the rough '23 touring parked beside the '27. I'd try to buy more but I don't have the $$ to do so. The brass "roadster pickup" is a '15 and they had been using it along with the complete black touring as parade cars up till about 20 years ago. The sheetmetal on most of the T's is in very good condition with very little rust-through in any of them. The body on the coupe is pretty much rust free! It's an amazing collection, but the old guys who own it all have no use for hot rodders at all. I guess I'll leave my HAMB shirt at home for this one. LOL One neat thing I found when I was out there today...the guy who showed us around told me that this '48 Chevy grain truck that's in the auction was the one my father borrowed from him back in May 1960 to move his belongings to his new home! How cool is that?
After talking with the guy today, I think if he knew that some hot rodders were going to be buying some of his stuff he's probably crush it instead.
