Ok, I'm giving in.... I have to start a thread. I have gotten zero work done today. It is now noon and I must go into the garage. I have looked for a picture all day, I own the book that has this picture in it, but I can't find it. Searched the web, the Hamb, etc., no can find. The pic is of a super cute girl, with a severly pointed braziere on... standing next too Dutch's crab claw Mercedes, or Dean "the Kid" Jefferies shoebox. Black and white, seaweed flames, crab claw, coming from the bottom of the car. Can't remember which car it is, or if I have a combo of both images in my mind. Please help! Also like to see any pics of 55 or 56 T-birds customized, Vettes, Mercedes, odd ball stuff. I'm clearing out some hot rods and need to make room for a daily driver. Really need something I can tow with, carry a 4 x 8 sheet of wood for sign painting, or parts haul with. But I know of a little 56 T bird for sale in a town near me...been sitting but maintained for along time, great condition. I keep picturing a little ugly flame job on it. My brother in law just got a van, so I may not need to get a hauler, and this T-bird is cheap for what it is. Thanks for any help! Gott go work on my car now... well as soon as you guys find some pics, hahaaaa.
???!!!Not to sure, but thought it might help. Up in Flames: The Art of Flame Painting By Tim Phelps, Sam Radoff Cool cars, high art: the rise of kustom kulture By John DeWitt
Yeah man...too the rescue! I was way off... It was the dame I was imagining with all three of those cars... man, life is good in my head. Ahhh, right on guys, needed these pics for my mind hump on this little T-bird. Will keep you posted if she solidifies... Feel free to post some more tasty customs or milds... we got the flare correct. I like em black and white too.
Would it be a crime to molest a little bird? Na Ya, know what...think I got pictures some where, been years since I've even seen the car. I know she still sits
Here you go, long bed fleetside, plenty of room for full sheets of plywood. 350/powerglide and 3.73 for "towing" or stop light to stop light showing off. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=407283 NJ isn't that far. Come on down. Just be sure to be back up North before sunset. I can't be responsible for what happens to yankees after dark.
