Has anyone ever created or seen a 40-41 Willys 5 Window Coupe? I know that they weren't "born" at the factory. The wide area of the top behind the side windows blocks a lot of visibility and a little side window would help when trying to park or change lanes in traffic.
One time I took a 41 Willys coupe and lengthened the frame and body so I could add another set of doors.
Check the pics from the Hunnert. Somebody posted one of a 5W something with a 41 Willys nose. Car was blue, IIRC...
That's not a Willys. There is, however, a 5-window'd Willys that always shows up at the Back to the 50's in MN each year. I don't recall which grille it has, though; either a '40 or '41/42. Not the best flowing roofline, but better than the '38 shown above.
i have heard some guys use 40/41 front ends on 41 fords... not sure if i like the idea, but it has been done
I don't know the guy from Minneapolis/St. Paul area but I have seen the car many times, it's made from a sedan and it really looks good. Got a Blown Hemi in it too. Its a neat car.
