Does Ford mean something obsene in french?? Are canadians naturally attracted to the mercury name? I just picked up the tailgate to merc-ize my 51 f-3, so kinda wondering EDIT So 130 posts and only one productive answer, thanks mr lancaster, guess this must be what happens when Canadians get ahold of a thread....
Ford marketed the Mercury truck in Canada. Dodge marketed both Fargo AND Dodge pickups in Canada. Different markets, different names.
and the Pontiac Beaumont,Acadian,Parisienne, and the Meteor, and the Frontenac, theres actually quite a few
Lincoln-Mercury dealers on the prairies wanted a truck line they could sell. Just like Chev and GMC trucks, same ****, different pile.
bawahahahaha, just spit beer (real canadian beer) all over my screen! All late 40s and early 50s Mercury trucks came with flatty V-8s too, we didn't get any lame 6 banger trucks up here. o/t... why is amurikan beer like screwing in a canoe? Its ****ing near water! hehehehe -Shiny
"why is amurikan beer like screwing in a canoe? Its ****ing near water" Now that's funny! I grew up right on the Canadian border in Washington state and never heard that one before.
That's why they made the song "Crazy 'bout a Mercury" cause all the damn Ford's were sold out. Actually Merc trucks are coolest thing since the bicycle. Michigan Rick
