Hi everyone, im a 19 year old archaeology student at Elizabethtown College whose interested in hot rods/g***ers/kustoms..you name it, pretty much anything older than myself (old soul, young body, as my dad tells me). I have no technical knowlege, all I know I kind of learned from magazines (sad, yes I think so too). I'm really looking to get into this hobby/lifestyle, whatever you want to call it. Sadly, my interest only sparked after both of the gearheads in my family (my uncle and grandfather) died. Any advice, and anyone near me?

    small world..

in a former life.. I attended millersville, and spent two summers living in etown..

there are some great homes in town.. that I still dream of owning..

AND... there are quite a few old cars in etown.. if you know where to look..

additionally.. there was a yard.. west of etown on 230 that had some old stuff, might be gone now..

welcome, dont worry about not knowing much, you gotta start somewhere. look at it like this, at least you dont know lots of wrong things to start off. Anything you need to know you'll probably be able to find someone on here that knows, or can at least point you in the right direction.

Sit back, and read everything you can on this site, especially the technical threads. I have limited mechanical experience, but have been helped a huge amount by guys on the HAMB. Also, if you have a question, use the SEARCH function first, because it might already have been answered. Welcome, and good luck.
