Any Asheville area rodders on this thing? Sure would be nice to hear from someone else around here that digs trad hot rods and customs.
Soon to get a '64 Riv back on the road. Nothing too fancy. Used to road race, and do some work on sport compacts. Still do. This is just kinda getting back to my roots. Most of my friends aren't very receptive to the old school stuff. Muscle car and import guys. Messing around with a couple of flatheads and a '29 frame. Guess that'll be next. I do what I like. Must admit I'm less experienced with this older stuff tho, but it's fun to learn.
Thanks for the welcome, everybody! Is anybody going to the vintage tractor and engine show at the Ag Center this weekend? It's pretty OT for the HAMB, but I'm going just to see old tractors and how things were done back in the day. I try to pick up influences everywhere. I like to lok at the mechanisms and gadgets of how that stuff was done. Maybe something that I can remember and use someday on one of my own projects. Was planning to go to Maxton, to watch, but there's a pretty good chance of rain over there, so we didn't feel like driving 5.5 hours, hoping to see something run. Next April for sure! Is anyone going to the Goodguys event in CLT next weekend? Going to that also. Hopefully early enough to get to the swap meet before all the good stuff is gone! Got a Holley 94 blown apart on my kitchen counter right now. Damn it's great to be single!
