o ya winters coming, had to be somewhere at 11 so it was just the early morning for me,a great turnout for dismal weather and some really neat machinery.heres some pic i took before my hands started numbing up.
Great pics harpo, thanks for sharing them. Where the hell were all you guys at 11, when we got together at Marks car for the HAMB pic?????
This was my 1st time to this show. Got there around 11:30 seem to be a great showing despite the ****py weather. Damn it was cold. Great stuff looking forward to going to it in the future. I took quite a few pictures myself. I swear I was 1 of the few if not the only 1 walking around in sandals. Refuse to give in to the fact summer in long gone. Hopefully I'll post up my pictures tomorrow some time.
I saw some "hold-out" in sandals yesterday...gee, was that you!! haha It is a great show, but it's usually cold and wet.
Thats why it called "gathering of the faithful" the wimps stay home & read about it on this website!!lol JimV
No doubt, I tried to snap a few pictures of your full chrome hub cap and wide whites. Killa ride . I held out as long as I could with the sandals stay on till first snow fall every year
Thats some very cool stuff. Thanks for the pics. What kind of engine is this? Kevin Ooltewah Speed Shop
cool pics big daddy, now i got pics of both sides of that inj flatty. anybody win any of that cool stuff?anybody notice it was a measured quarter mile to the single ****ter box on the other side of that windy field[boxes did show up later].not sure of the four banger,i took a shot of that plate but it was blurry.
HAHA...that's a great tradition, I hope you're still wearing them for a couple of more months! I was right in front of my car when you were down shooting the cap, I wish I had known it was you so we could have met. Awesome pics by the way. Keith
Great pictures Ron. I was so busy, I never thought to get my camera out. Glad you were able to make it.
I had A great time once again! And the ride with Jim V wasn't that bad(it was cold) and I do love the real cars at this show. thanks again Jared
Don't forget where ya got those gloves!! I don't want them to end up like my "capt.Morgans rum" hat!!lol jimv
Looks like they are trying to revive this: http://www.secretsofspeed.com/ROOF.htm I included a zoomed in view of the valve cover plaque from the one at the Gathering. Rebecca
Up here in the Boonies of central NY, we sport Tevas and wool socks while hunting pheasants. Just a pain in the but picking the burdocks of your socks when you get home. Stopped by the H.A.T.E event yesterday, looks like most of the NY faithful wussed out. Wasn't even snowing. Only about a dozen cars, and maybe 5 vendors. 20 miles north of the location it was bright sunshine.
thanks for a great show guys!! Paul it was great to finally chat with you...Going to the store to find a frame for my new Gen. Gow print!! Im really happy it was decided not to try for the Sunday "Rain Date"!!
I wish I went...I didnt get my car back on the road in time. Any more pics of the bangers? thanks Bill
It was good chatting with you also. Need to have a longer chat sometime. Love your car. Using the rain date would have been a "disastah." The weather gods were really watching over us yesterday. Which gengow print did you end up with?
Bill, you should have driven over in your daily driver. Your pants would still be tight this morning with all of the neat banger stuff on the field.
