Rumor has it that the entire state of California will be attending...maybe Texas also

I'll be there in the Merc. I guess that I'll take the hub caps off to give it more
of a Hot Rod look. ha, ha, ha...

It's nice to know that there are still people around that remember the Tulsa Timing ***ociation.

I think that I first joined TTA when I was still a high school kid in the late 60's. The way I remember it, Tulsa Int'l. Raceway (now Tulsa Raceway Park) was sitting without anyone interested in running it and in danger of being closed for good. The club stepped up and leased/managed/promoted the track themselves for several years. They actually did a fine job of running the strip. Good enough to keep it open under NHRA sanction and eventually draw some promoters interested in taking it over. So, all the youngins that have raced here in more recent years owe it all to the TTA guys.

 

Jason said to let you all know there will be 4 Fuel Cars including Benny (The Wizard) Osborns 1967 World Champion fuel car and the Tony Nancy "Chizler" dragster as well as others...

There WILL be a cackle fest

Rick Kirk is bringing his 1962 SOHC Ford lightweight drag car, and mucho old timers with s****books and even video footage will be played on a big screen in the shop.

Old timey band will start at noon...whole thing kicks off around 9am...early birds will be treated to coffee and doughnuts...BBQ will also be available.

BRING OUT YOUR HOT RODS!!!

Dang.. if i did not have young kids this would be kewl to attend, even if it was a long drive...and then there is always chatting with you, but it would still be kewl :~))

Back to the top....... was at Bennie's house this morning. Both fuel cars are looking good.

 

16 hours to go...

 

we are loaded and ready to head up. can't wait to finally see that ford coupe of my uncles. he worked hard getting that on the road. jason finished it for him because he had to unretire and go back to building those lycoming engines.

 

The Merc and I will be leaving early Saturday morning. Guys that hadn't been to
the Hot Rod Garge it is a kool place to hang out.... see ya this weekend.

yeah i'll be there!! might be abit worn from all the cl***es and such, but i wouldn't miss it ....unreal that a total stranger would drive a 1 1/2?? hours round trip and then back to his starting point to make a 90 mile?? trip to this blowout and then drag total stranger with them for a cool day of rods and what sounds like great times....the Hamb blows my mind every time i log on here!!!!!and i got offers to get picked up for the sunday drags here too...un-frickin-beleivable!!!!!!!!!!sitting here waiting for Ken and Keith of the Rolling Bones to arrive on their drive to SEMA....and to think i was hateing the thought of being here

so do i get the ****ie prize for the farthest traveler tomorrow????hahahahahahhah........oh, i just thought of something..if Hot rod Lady Cruiser shows up she'll beat me..she's north of me about 40 miles..luv ya girl........
