    Nice work Zed.

Fantastic job on the 58 Chevy ZED... you did it again.
More of these mild customs should be built... both in 1/25 scale as in 1/1
They are relatively easy to do and make a huge impact.

Now get that Evergreen stip and v-grove out and get that full T&R interior done... including the headliner :)

  5. Here's one I've been tinkering with, It's one of the old Revell parts pack frames, I'm building it with an Injected Flattie, just working on finding parts in the parts box!!

    ZED;
Your color choice and layout are absolute perfection, and your skills equal your vision!
Care to share your striping technique?

I know you build curbside. Any chance of a detailed 348 for this one?
(Chromed inner fenders could be nice.)

Very nice style ZED. Do you build in 1/1? You should!

WOW! ...great stuff today guys....paint job on the '58 is killer....

  20. Here's a couple of differant ones i'm working on right now. This 50 ford convert i'm going for the over the top show car. The front end is one that comes in the kit, but i cut it down and cut the stock front of the car so that i didn't have to use that extended hood they give you in the kit.

This one had all the parts in the box but no mention of them the only custom bit is the radiused and flared rear wheel wells

Another "Non-Car" "Non-Traditional" one my Son built.
He used a paper towel tube for the fuselage and cereal boxes for the rest.
The base is foam core that he used Elmers glue to apply real dirt!

(Pics are large,so I'll post the clickable thumbnails.)

    Great work fellas!

I have got nuthin' done lately due to too much work and to my surprise my Van was stolen when I woke up today... life's a ***** sometimes!

So here is a really old one, a almost "out-of-the-box" build with 1953 Vette wheels as only addition. Started this one early 90's and finished about 97:

Keep up the good work guys!

Great show today, everyone. I'm juggling 5 builds, nothing far enough along to post this week.
ZED and Funnycar65, killer paint! If you could shrink Watson hisself down to 3 inches tall, don't see how they coulda turned out any better!

Thanks for the kind of words guys :p

I was inspired by the trunk and top of rear fender of Southard 58, and did the rest of the car around those shapes :D

no, no engine, i always cement the hoods

as for the stripping technique , that's really easy , it's just a little trick : outlining paint is done first :D

    [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

then i put some thin masking tape ( 1 mm ) to draw the panel

    [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

    [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

then i spay the dark blue in the panels

    [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

    [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

then masking tape on the panel

    [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

and i spray the body (last) color .

Just got this one done an hour ago!
An old MPC Southern Stocker kit, that I had shopped the top a few years ago, but thought it looked like a Volvo! :? So it fiddled with it, ended up cutting the to into quarters and stretched back out with sheet styrene, then built the rest mostly out of the box. the kit makes a pretty cool early manufacturers short track ch***is with the leaf spring rear, four shocks per corner, and other cool detailing parts. Rear end pump, and stiffener, headers, big block, etc. The decals are some never seen early efforts by me, bled out some, too, but I worked with it, tires are AMT NASCAR and wheels are Freds!
