That's fucking awesome. You have to bring that to the Heads Up in the Spring!!

This is this years site. Mark it, and we'll update it soon.

  2. Here's mine coming together. 1964 Fairlane and a Tunnel Port 427. Should be done a year from now, just in time for winter...

Installed a new camshaft this weekend. Im hoping to make a better marriage of my optimum TQ and HP range to converter and gear. The car is faster than we thought it would be. I leave the line almost out of the TQ range of the cam and run the track in the HP side of the cam.

The old is on the right the new is on the left. I figured I better do something before Littleman catches me....he is getting way too fast.

Glenn, are you saying that your Big Block might be scared of a little old SBC running 1940's carburation ?...........Ha ha ha....I kid...I kid..........It's great to see you going after it!...It takes allot of work and time !.....some will never know how much work it really takes......I wish I lived in a warm climate year round......as of now I only have two more chances to get to the Track and that's only if weather permits !..........Then the Truck is retired from the track...so it's possible I will never know how far I can push and tune my Truck...Unless I am bad and mothball it for spring and if I opt to do this I need to do some upgrades saftey wise to run it...I really think it's time to move on thou.........Go get it Glenn !...Littleman...and I have mucho room for a bigger cam also....he he

This was the first cage I've ever done. Lot's of reseach and reading before we started. This first pic is just mocking things up. This truck was difficult with the compound curves of the the body and making head room. Could not drop the cage through the floor because of the frame, so we made it in sections. The cage made a huge diference in the way the truck performs. It has rear leaf springs with slapper bars that I made. The truck hooks good and goes straight.

Pulled the main hoop out to finish welding things up. The front part of the cage was angled back to finish welding and the put the main back to finish welding. Did the door braces and rear supports last since we had enough room to weld all the way around.

Front end is monoleaf with drop axle

Working around the ground. Actually, I wish it was just a hair higher. I still drive this truck on the streets, so putting a hole in the pan is a concern. The pictures are a bit decieving. The pan sits below the frame as it is.

I love this thread.... Heres some pics of mine..
1930 model A coupe (aka Hidden Agenda)
I am currently rebuilding my Model a coupe that I have had for a while. I have been planning this rebuild for some time. It all got underway after the supercharged 383 decided that It didnt need the #6 piston any more. I had alot of fun with the last build with many trips far from home and lots of trips down the dragstrip.

    Kiwi connection perimeter 32 frame.
worked over viper T-56 viper six speed
quicktime scattersheild to save the feet.
The new bullet I am building starts with a
    dart block (400ci)
    scat crank,
    scat rods
JE forged blower pistons with Hellfire rings
    Cnc'ed brodix track 1 heads
    victor jr. intake.
    csu blow thru carb
**76mm precision Turbocharger (hidden under the dash)
The car will have the late 50's early sixtys look with the turbo hidden behind the firewall. and the 16in steelies sitting on bysplys. I will be traiding out the wheels for something traditional looking with some stick tires for the track. I am planning on driving it this summer and painting it gloss black next winter. Hope to see everyone at the hamb drags. I will be driving there. Because hotrods have 3 pedals, too much power and are built to be driven.

Can't take any credit for building it although it has been a purpose built drag car since the early 70's and it might be a little new for this forum, but it is a piece of drag racing history as it was built by Cook Motorsorts...............Stone/Woods/Cook fame!
After replacing some fuel lines and rubber on four corners she will hit the 1320 in March of next year, or maybe a test and tune before that.
Not much of a street car since 15:1 compression/2spd powerglide/4:89 gears limit the distance you can travel on 5 gallons of 114octane gas, but it has done 10.5's with throttle stop and high 9's w/out.
It should be a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! What a great thread...I'll probably kill it by posting my toy. I built this so it would pass tech but now I can't afford to fix something if I break it, so now it's mostly a garage ornament.
