Help Finding NorCal builder of my car (Bruce Yeaton)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by isettajohn, Oct 19, 2009.

  1. Trying to get in touch with the builder of my car who moved to NorCal area. Bruce Yeaton who also called himself "VonDorq" lived in Salinas Ca. in the 90's. He built my BMW Isetta streetrod which was shown at the Oakland Roadster Show in 94. He has a book of photos of building the car he was going to loan me but was in the process of moving further North. After the move I never heard from him or was able to find him again. Rod Powell had occasional contact with him but I also lost contact with Rod as well. Does anyone know where Bruce is these days? I really would love to have copies of the build of my car for history purposes before all is totally lost forever. Thanks....John

Do you know for a fact that he's dead or just saying it for the hell of it? Good luck on finding accurate info on your car.

  4. If Cole says he's dead, I'd listen to him...you obviously don't know who he is.

Rod is on the HAMB... If he knows anything I'm sure he'll let you know.

I have heard it from five or so people, including his brother, and even his brother only thru the g****vine, but its been 5 years since anyone has seen him, and three since I heard he died.

A guy at Paso a few years back told me he meet him , he was restoring a train , and I think it was dessert comunity? I think he's gone. he was a wildman.

  12. Thank you Cole & everyone else here who have tried to help on and off the list. Sorry to hear this. My search is over and hopes of obtaining the book of photos of the build ended. Another piece of history lost. Again, my sincere thanks, HAMBers are the best!

I know this is an antique thread, I stumbled onto this.
I had dealings with him last year, Mr Yeaton AKA Vondorq -
I'd say not to have any dealings with him, I found him to be a shyster.
