I've had this pesky 1958 Lincoln dragster motor that I've been scooting around the garage forever and finally found a nice engine stand to store it in. It was in a barn about 10 miles north of my house . Should make that engine easier to scoot around now. Looks like it could use some new casters though...
If anybody needs a banger drivetrain, let me know. It was supposedly rebuilt before the car was parked. I can't keep both engines on one stand ya know..
Thanks unclescooby... it's like finding hens teeth finding a coupe lid that isn't all rusted to ****!! Plus I only had about $50 in the whole thing once done.
Man you have posted 2 *****in cars in as many weeks, I need to start hangin out with you and get in on some of these engine stands.
Couple others locally (like within two miles of my house. The first one is a 1929 Auburn. Guy things it's maybe a "Phantom". I don't know much about Auburns. Pretty cool car but wasn't cheap. Had some cool stuff in that barn, like an old Cord. The second is two cars that have been sitting outside uncovered for at least a couple years right down the road but not really visible except in the winter time. Not sure what the story is there and don't have the money to ask yet. Some pretty stripped 50's corvettes sitting out there too with the covers blown off..
I actually like them with no chop at all. This is what made me want one... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=363636 I can't believe that car hasn't sold yet. It's awesome. I've just been looking for a lightweight home for that giant Lincoln motor for a while.
