Sounds like you ran into one of our assholes. We will gladly export them. Let us know how many you want. Act fast 'cause the free shipping promotion ends soon.

Come on mate, you cant pick and choose, deep down you guys love us, even Jason :)

Haha Id rather they were buried there, after I have my cash back.

All we need is a legit title and a bill of sale. Couldn't be simplier. No title no export :)

I hear this talk about the Japanese on the jockey journal all the time about them buying up all are good vintage iron. Truth is, in general they have a great respect for the old bikes and cars and sometimes I'm glad they have em so some dick head over hear doesn't turn a knuckelhead into some dumb theme bike. Most of what I see overseas is well kept, driven and loved American vehicles. Anyone who wants and can afford a vintage bike/car should have one, at least they aren't going to the wrecker or rotting in someones side yard.

Now this beer talk I heard- if you come to the US and have a budlight in New York and go home and talk shit about are beer you don't know crap. Come to Colorado and drink 9% IPAs at 6500 ft. , after I carry you home you can feel free to talk crap in the morning.

Oh, and last time I was in Oz I stole one of your "ladys" and brought her home with me, so the least I could do is sell you some junk. HAHA

but Budlight is crap.:D There are so many good microbrews. NC has quite the beer selection these days. But people still want that crap... oh well, more for me.

I've found that furiners really appreciate getting parts from the U.S. and shipping by ground is the cheapest way to get them there. There use to be a bigger issue about northerners coming down south and taking our stuff back with them, havn't you gotten enough already! Actually, the internet has made it possible to save many a project and parts/cars. tnrotter

This is almost the only place i do my shopping! Its very hard sometimes over here to get parts, and we have to pay a fortune on shipping.

I've dealt with quite a few members here, all been great after my stuffing around and always try to get the best postage deal.

I could name over a dozen good ones, cant think of any bad ones so far.

I tried to buy some shirts of a member here, on the grounds he post to a hotel in vegas so a mate can bring them home for me...not even the decency to reply and say no. I was wanting to pay via visa or paypal or even cod on pick-up from his vegas address, but obviously he doesn't want my money.

My latest purchase from the US is a little rigid HD and the seller could not have been more helpful so there is a care package heading his way....

Hahaha I lived in Ft Collins for 6 months whilst at CSU, Craig Co for 6 months and have spent a couple years on and off in Steamboat so I hear ya, although struggled to find anyone to drink with as the nights wore on, seems they had all passed out...... :) As well as the beers sampled a US woman or two as well ;) but you are completly right, the Aussie women are better so I can see why you had one sent over ;)

  11. I wouldn't sell ya parts either Steve...if it makes ya feel any better :D:D:D

I do make it down there occasionally when I'm planning to go again I'll post and see if there is anything I can smuggle down for a few fellas in my suitcase.

Yeah Fort Fun is a good time and Odell's brewery has some really good suds I just sampled all their goods at the giant beer fest. A+

I have bought and sold cars and parts from all over the world, never had a bad deal, except with one particular dealer and one ebay deal with Rotary Phil's out of Australia, those bastards took me for $50 plus that much in shipping for a poxy courtesy lamp, I never received it and multiple emails later it seems I'm SOL.

We have a duty to help out our sincere, by that I mean sincere, fellow hot rodders regardless of where they're from. If you think it takes dedication to keep a vintage car on the road in the US you have no idea what others in the world go through.

Right? but I do have to admit when a bunch of my buddys come over the fridge is full of PBR. Sometimes its a budget thing I guess. wish they were a little cheaper, especially the dozen of so that are brewed less than a mile from my front door.

I look at this way.. PBR 4-5% alcohol. $2 a pop at the local bar. Big Boss Bad Penny (my favorite at the moment) closer to 8-9%. $4 a pop at the local bar. I drink half as many good beers. And they are made right here in Raleigh, NC, USA.

As long as the money turns green by the time it gets to me.....I personally dont care.

I ship all my stuff online so it's a matter of a couple of key strokes and the export paperwork prints with the shipping label. I've shipped a bunch of stuff overseas and gotten a bunch of stuff shipped to me overseas (stuff I couldnt get here) and all have worked out well....

Hell When I went to Germany I even hand carried a 55 olds grill bar there and dropped it into Austria for the dude....hell I was already gonna be there....why not? Gotta free luch outta the deal...he prob woulda got me drunk if I drank but unfortunatly for me I quit drinkin....

You just ran into a knucklehead...I sell stuff all over the world, as long as the price is right and the check doesn't bounce. Never had a problem with shipping over or back, either. Hot Rodders are Hot Rodders, no matter what country they live in...at least the Hot Rodders overseas are using American Iron for something more than a curb ornament in front of their lawn chair at the latest Street Rod park-and-sit...

  23. Selling cars to other countries to rodders who appreciate them is still better than cash for clunkers!

I have a little dream of going to the US and buy me some cool car ( 36 ford is my first choise) drive it around a little and then take it back with me to Sweden.
Made a offer on a 36 cupe here on the Hamb, seller promised to e-mail alot of pics but when i made a serious offer and wanted to get the car inspected by a shipping company the seller dident answer my e-mails.
Well im gonna make that dream come true sometime, its alot of money to do this trip.
Ive thought of offering free building help for a place to live if i do the trip (yeah, you need my help,im a badass welder ha ha....)

Just to Be serious for a sec, after some experience now I ONLY buy from HAMBers with well over 100 posts and I go back and look at some of their posts. Also check the Bad Sellers section of the HAMB. If buying outside the HAMB, the guys need LOTS of great feedback if on the bay or if a private sale ask on this board and any others you are on to see if someome can go look at it. In all instances some of the best advice I have been given is over a few days ask the same questions but differently in emails and see if you get the same answers. Have walked away from lots of deals after not feeling confident about someone.

If in Australia $5K is my limit before I am on a plane to look at it myself.

  26. Happy to sell and ship to the other side of the world.

I just sold some Olds headlight rings to a HAMBer in Belgium.

The only problems I've had are with dirt bag buyers on this side of the pond (California especially), none of them HAMBers.

I think all the scams on ebay and CL over teh last few years have put a sour taste in peoples mouths which could account for some of the hesitation when dealing internationally.

Personally, my father and i have sent cars to sweden, finnland, australia, and canada and have always had good experiences. I always make a point to get to know the potential buyer though, both to assure that they know what they are getting when buying site unseen, and to make sure they are legit.

And to Goldrush Gassers point, the international deal (and the ones in this country) i've made through the hamb are always smooth. We are a community after all.

I'm in the process of getting prices to send a couple of items overseas to fellow hot rodders-only issue is at the Post Office--I also send car mags to the troops (and include a few hats too)--at the Post Office, they are not real cooperative--other than that --no big deal.
