I guess karma is coming back to you Andrew. Youre a good bloke most of the time, always helping out others and usually up for a good belly shaking laugh thats for sure (shame its usually at your expense ;) ) and having someone like Frank helping you guys out when youre so damn far from home is the stuff legends are made of.

Well done Frank, youre one of a kind. :) If youre ever over here Im sure there will be many people who will shout you a coldie, a bed and a meal.

Hopefully someone will need some transport on the return trip, 2100 miles is a bloody long way from home for you.

This sounds like something that Frank would do. He's a standup guy. I've never found anyone who has such a vast knowledge of everything "hot rod" and willing to share it. Now where is that paypal accout number?

    Frank

"So I just dropped US$20 in Franks PayPal account."

I put in $20, too. Least I could do - wish it could be more.

  8. Frank - $20 your way to leave them out in the desert.....

Just kidding. $20 in your account for getting home gas money.

While it very, very sweet of you guys to donate into his paypal, please keep in mind the reason for my thread was to pat Frank on the back for his unselfishness toward his car pals PLUS to try to get a car to haul back.

Maybe so Denise, but for those who like to help out in whatever way they can, will do so. I know they will pick up Franks tab for fuel but thats beside the point.
Frank has not only stepped up to the task of helping them out, he's also probably losing a weeks wages too.
Andrew and scooter have been left stranded on the other side of the world, in a strange place theyve never been to before, not just 100 miles from their doorstep.
Its rare these days to get any help, let alone an almost total stranger going that far out of their way for our mates.
Hotrodding, no matter where you are, we stand together as one. :)

I couldn't agree with you more sweetie, I couldn't agree with you more. Rodding has no boarders. Most of us try to take care of each other no matter what.

  12. did we have an expected turn around for home date on Frank yet???

Hey Denise, do you happen to know how much weight Frank can haul? (I sent him a PM)

Also he should be HAMBer of a lifetime.

I sent you a PM Jman.

Thanks for all the accolades, but that is not what this is about. I have been helped in the past by others who didn't have to, so I am passing it along. I have lead such an evil life this is my only chance at heaven.

I am leaving CA thursday night, headed to Las Vegas. I have to be home by the morning of the 29th, I have family flying in.

    thanks to all.

We are in Riverside tonight, just have to run to Long Beach in the morning. Then I'll start for home. That long grade at Needles is a bitch!

the truck has picked up a low speed miss, seems to be ok at speed, so I am going to pass on a back haul, and hope it makes it back ok.

Understood, Denise, but it's something I wanted to do. Frank did a favor for me a couple of years ago and this is a very small way to pay him back a little.

Well, the truck is at the shipping point, the boys are on a jet plane, and I am in Vegas, on the way home. It's been an adventure.
