For years I've been going to car shows dreaming of finally having something of my own that runs, drives, and looks decent. Well, I finally got it! I picked up a 54 Chevy 150 Sedan with only 51,000 miles on it. The paint still has some shine, the chrome is good, it runs and drives. I'm stoked. I don't plan on making a lot of changes. I want to add dual exhaust, convert it to 12 volt, lower it, and just cruise! It came with a trailer that's made from the back half of a 54 Chevy 4 door sedan. The trailer even has some extra parts in it. Now I have something I can drive to the Back to the 50's show, GoodGuys Des Moines, Hamb Drags, etc.... Now I just have to spend some time hunting up all the 53-54 Chevy posts here!
Nice original cars are hard to find and yours really looks nice.Your plans for it sound just right.......
A couple more pictures of the car and one of the trailer. The trailer needs some attention. Some cleanup, paint it to match the car, and and I got a nice little combo.
What a creampuff! I'd love to find one just like that someday. That trailer is really unique- what's the history of that? Jay
Congratulations, that is one fine looking Chevy. I'm jealous to be honest about it. I would do almost exactly what you plan on doing. I probably wouldn't lower it because I like the way they ride at the original ride height. Keep us posted.
Cool, Nice catch. I was born in 54 and always wanted a car from that year. The 54's can look pretty cool.
i have the front half of a 53 2 door for cheap if you want to make a complete car out of your trailer.
Got a few more pictures. I need to get some portowalls for the trailer and two more stock hubcaps. When was the last time you saw an original trunk that clean? Sorry, I'm still a little giddy that it's mine!
