Event Coverage Fort Worth LaGrave Swapmeet this weekend, who's going?

I'm thinking of going with a truck and trailer load of parts, anyone else going to be there?

 

Got 2 end spaces over by the trailer parking. Taking just whatever I have laying around and a 49 Packard that needs a good home.

 

I hope to be setting up on Saturday

 

Gonna go out early on Friday

 

I'm going to look. My friend will be there with a couple of cars to sell. I hope to find some Nova sheetmetal.

 

Planning to be there on Saturday only, bringing some good parts to sell, getting rid of a lot of my stash of things I'll probably never use.

- Zephyr trans + Overdrive
- '39 topshifter trans
- Uncracked 8ba block and crank
- Several heaters (southwind and others)
- Lot of '50 and '52 F1 parts
- Lot of '47 Buick parts
- Lot of '46 Lincoln Zephyr parts
- Full set of model A wheels
- lot's of misc parts and pieces

If anyone needs any 8BA flathead parts let me know, I'm not planning to bring much but will bring something if I know I've got a possible buyer.

Leaving most of the big stuff at home, trying to make it all fit in the bed of the truck so I don't have to bring the trailer.

 

I might go early on saturday. I have a wedding to attend at noon then dinner with family. Going to be a short trip.

 

I'll be going. I've gone for the past 4 years. Always seem to buy something I wasn't looking for.

Is this usually a good swap meet? I'm thinking about heading up as there is a car in Wylie I want to go look at...plus my parents live in Fort Worth anyway.

 

Same here, no spots yet, going down on Friday to get a spot and then back on Saturday early morning to setup and hopefully sell some stuff. Have to be in Fort Worth on Friday to see the judge, so I'm around those parts anyway.

Usually pretty good, better then most.

What car are you looking at in Wylie?

 

I got 7 spaces on row 15, right across from the concession stands. I'll be there from early Friday till late Saturday.

 

Ill be there saturday, this is my favorite swap meet. Always good turnout and prices are normally decent.

 

Not setting up, but I'll be there Saturday looking and hoping to find some good STUFF. Rodger I will look you up. Bruce

 

Heard today that we wil have to be out by 5pm on saturday and there is no sunday for some reason

 

Hey Rusty, where did you hear that? Usually when there is not going to be a Sunday, they open up on Thursday. I received my tickets last week & they show for the 24th & 25th which is Saturday & Sunday.

Someone had 4 spots for sale on craigslist as he had broke his foot. They were listed in Dallas.

I don't think it is open for the public on Friday, just Saturday/Sunday. Friday is for setup only I thought.

 

We will be there Friday and Saturday at least. Right up front on row 19.

rschilp, swap meet is open to everyone on Friday. Thursday is set up day for lots of folks. Not sure if I'll be there thursday yet. With all the rain I cant get to my storage container so I may not have a lot of odds and ends for sale but we will be selling our insulation as always.

 

Yea, I haven't hear that??? Should be on for Sunday, can someone confirm this?

 

Hey Gary, I'll be on row 15 right across from the concession stands. You will see my old A Sedan there.
And Rob, the public can come out on Friday. It is setup day for the vendors, but it is always a good selling day too. Lots of people come out on Friday. Always have.

Could have been confused with the Southwest Swap meet at the Ballpark which is much later this year and not going to be on Sunday.

That's the show at the ball park in Arlington. Jerry want's us off his parking lot so he can charge big money for it.
