Would like some advide and some pics of your gas pedals. I have a 56 ford customline that a buddy is going to hand make a custom pedal for it. I want something unique, but I just cant come up with anything great. It will made from stainless and he can make about anything withing reason. of course size is an issue, cant be too big or to small.

I thought about something like this (my name is todd). He will be using plasma cutter and other things to blow holes in it and such... Any good ideas guys?

Yeah I dont want it to blingy or tachy, thats why I wanted some ideas...something that would look good, be unique, cl***y, etc... Not just the standard lokar or moon pedal

Think about something you'd like to step on. Put it there. Current thought process is geared towards bejewling, I'd go for more literal. People will like it better.

FWIW I'm cutting down aircraft rudder pedals.

Theme...custom or hotrod look? if performance look, how about simple rectangle bent into a curve and punched full of holes like a period NASCAR pedal. Mounts like a S**** pedal, not hinged to floor like stocker.

Here is what interior is shaping up to so far, maybe help a bit...

Engine is a beefy 347 stroker, 5 spd floor shift. 9" posi rear...added vintage autometer gauges and radio

Guess you would say more hot rod than anything

Looks like velour covered camaro/firebird buckets? More street rod I'd say.

These are .375 steel but could easily be stainless. How about a "spade".

Depends on what look your going for. Having your name in your pedels will look like bling and maybe something that belongs on a rice grinder.

Some people use old Ludwig base drum foot pedals. They get the job done and look pretty good. Plus there cheap. Ebay always has them.

Pontiacs from 1959 to the mid 1960's always had cool looking gas pedals. It was a polished stainless with horizontal slots through which protruded rubber fins as a non-slip surface. I used to put them on my early chevys as a cl***y touch.
