I re-did the pictures to get them more accurate. I added pictures of adding in the roof as well as leaning the posts. Part of me wants to just add in the roof and be done with it. But if it really helps the look, im not opposed to take all the insane work involved in leaning the cowl. Just not sure if when its done you will be able to see a huge difference leaning the posts. See what you guys think. I defiantly want your guys opinions.

I say 5-1/2 straight chop and lean the posts. I think the car has enough rake in the ch***is. The slanted chop makes it look a little off.

I'd vote for the even cut, IMHO to easy to get the side windows looking "odd" with the angle cut. You could always do the angle cut, tack it together and roll it out and see if you like it, better the real deal then photoshop. Be easy enough to cut a little more out of the back till it looks good. No on leaning the cowl, been there, done that and your right, insane amout of work, not worth it in the end.

I'm going to have to come over to your shop and take a look at this. I like the 5.5 straight across with leaned posts best, Chris, but on my own Tudor I will likely add to the roof rather than lean the posts. It's an awful lot of work to lean the A pillars.

    Great lookin project,
Here is a pic of my ch***is with a similar front set up. Bobbed and notched horns a flat front cross member and posies springs with a stock ford axle.
It started with a drop axle but the set up was too low for what I was goin for and required the tie rod to run through the engine compartment.
Where will you run your tie rod?
I vote for the 4.5 to 5.5 chop with the leaned back A pillars

I got started today on getting the rails locked into the frame jig. I'm almost ready to start putting in the boxing plates.

I wanted to have something on paper that I could reference to. So I took a stock drawing of a 32 frame and modified it to what I am doing on mine. That way I had exact measurements of the frame front to back, including the pinch and bob.

You might want to put a patent on those frame diminsions so people dont try to just copy them

I'm not to worried. The front part of the frame is the only section that I altered. And my setup with the springin the wishbones is all by its self anyway with how it is measured from the axle. Plus I'm not the first person to do what I'm doing :) its not a bad idea though.

I got the firewall hood and grill mocked up. I'm borrowing a original radiator from a buddy. Its resting right on top of the axle and the grill still needs to come down a little bit for everything to line up. Ill have to get a radiator that is at least 3" shorter.

Just getting things ready to work on it again this Saturday. I need to get the spacer blocks that locate the boxing places cut up and ready to go. I only get some evenings and Saturdays to work on my projects :)

I got the rear model a crossmember welded in place. And I got all the spacer/body mount blocks welded in place as well.

Now I need to build the front crossmember, mount the wishbones, and I can put in the boxing plates.

I got them at the L.A. Roadster Show this year. Im thinking they are probably 50's-60's firestones that have been grooved.

I got the wishbones mounted tonight. Im trying to decide what im doing on the front spring. I'll have the spring mounted in the wishbones, I just am trying to figure out how I want to mount the spring cause I want it to sit as low as I can get it. That way I can keep the crossmember as flat as possible.
