I'm building a gasser f100. F*CK ARMSTRONG!!! In the middle of my build I lost my arm in a bike wreck, and it was hard enough to steer with two hands. Enough crying, any ideas? just got out of the hospital/lost my job/too much chrome on the block, so finances are low, but she runs 13s N/A pump gas... and she's period correct. Also, need a new locker, Went LSD at the track, no bueno. HELP?
Well-- sorry to hear about your injury. On with the good stuff. There is a common swap- it's a Toyota power box from an '80-'85 4WD truck. It has a single inlet, and one return, and should work with anything from Dearborn that fits a Windsor block. http://orphanyears.blogspot.com/2008/11/steered-wrong-cont-getting-it-right.html
So, what about this t-bird rumor, 57-60? I Heard about this one at the watercooler, is it true? Also, this Toyota thing. Have any of you tried to find a f-ing early 80s toy in a yard? S*IT, hen's teeth, man, In vegas, f-ing hen's teeth. CASH FOR PARTS!
I think CPP sells a kit with a new Yota gear in it. Not sure if it will work with a raised front end, though.
At this point, I'm giving up on the whole gasser thing. No job, disability doesn't pay much, and I don't have any friends in the town i live in. I moved here three days before I got crippled in a bike wreck. Sucks, because i'm a journeyman mechanic. Not union, just not bold enough to say master. Enough crying, if anyone knows anyone trustworthy in Las Vegas, please e-mail contact me. Unfortunately, at this point all I can offer is a few beers and awesome mexican food. I have all the tools and parts, but my left arm is gone and my right hand is paralyzed. thanks for the help so far guys, I found all the toy parts cheap. My little brothers are useless, so I need help.
idk im planning on using a 79 f250 steering box on my 59. its a 4x4 daily driver build tho so idk how helpful that would be.
