55 straight axle job just finished

    Just got another 55 straight axle job done and ready to go back home to texas. just a few pics for you ... and yes it is a street car and yes it is all speedway mtrs

    Nice work, but I wish people would quit f'n up 55's. There have got to be plenty of g***ers by now.

    Not really, there was always the misspelling on yours.

    I actually get tired of looking at the same old straight axle cars over and over. Not putting down your work in anyway, you have to build what the customer wants, they are the one footing the bills and feeding the family.

    Just for me, it's enough already. If that's what you like go for it, I wont call you dumb.

    If there was only one car on this planet that could have a straight axle under the front,my vote goes for the 55 chevy.Nice work Dragrcr50.

    Dragrcr50, nice work on the front axle setup by the way. I am going to post some pics in my g***er photos on fotki and I am sure others will enjoy seeing your handiwork for ideas on "butchering" more tri fives.

    it is a new speedway 525 box, bigger box and seems to drive a bit better :cool:

    thanks man, for those that know me this is not our first rodeo, we have done a bunch of these and next is a blown 427 4 speed 57 hardtop belair for the same treatment only all straight axle and changing to a shine look with no grille and bumper and a moon tank etc...it is from phoenix, stand by ..

    ******man, You are dead on, how dare a guy build a car because it’s the style he likes and there are a lot of them out there. Kind of like 67 Chevelle race cars…

    never, I wouldnt use them if i did, i have them on my chevy two g***er and am building as new henry j with all speedway stuff and and injected alky 509 mtr in it, i trust it . this is about the 20th one we have used it on ..........

    it was already an old g***er out of kansas with no ch***is or floor or firewall hehe. but i do hate to cut the quarters out and gut the doors on it would help someone that needed good **** but i gotta do it...
