My local parts guys eyes cross when I ask for brake shoes and any hardware for my 57-59 9" ford rear axle (car). Can anyone direct me to some info on what else (year or application wise) will fit? Looking for basicall everything that goes inside the rear drums! thanks

Try Rock Auto. They have all that stuff. Just did everything on my 59 ranch wagon, cheap.

If you got a Napa store near buy you might try them. Had them price stuff not too long ago for a 59 ford 9" and they showed everything in stock other than one wheel cylinder that they would have to bring in.

More than likely, all the hardware should be the same up to 1964. This goes for all the pull back and hold down springs, star wheel, etc. You may even get self-adjusters out of the deal.

I have also heard of: folks using 8" Ford brake ***emblies, ( from the backing plates out), on the 9" Ford.

go somewhere else then! Those are plentiful! Advance auto has them... I just replaced all the brakes and parts in my 60 f100 with the 9" a few months ago!

Not to be a "search nazi" but we did this a couple of days ago...
Autozone lists everthing on the web site for this job !
They stock most everything in store and can get it all for you in a day or 2.
I am a retired parts guy and do not let them look up any parts for me--- I use the website and call in my order. No problems !
