bummer. at least new floors and trunk panels are easy to find and not too expensive in the scheme of things.

I have a 50 2 door sedan that I am just starting that also needs floors and trunk. Any idea as to which vendor offers the best replacement panels?

Thanks for the info. I will take a look at their products. I am anxious to get the floors repaired so that I have a good solid platform to start on the fun stuff. I am really looking forward to doing the roof chop. Good luck with your project.

  9. Another thought if you want to save some $$$. Make your own floor pans. It's just flat sheet metal. 18ga. will work fine. Get a bead roller from Harbor Freight,
do the mods to make it stronger and but some beads in the sheet metal to stiffen it up. You"ll save alot in the long run. Todd

shoeboxes rust. people used **** to fix them.

I had great luck and service on my patch panels from these guys:

friendly. ship fast. fit was great. I got my rockers and quarter patches from them, the complicated stuff.

and I agree with tug on the pans. get a beadroller, go to town!

you've never lived until you've replaced the bottom 4 inches of a car all the way around. :D

x 2 on make your own floorpans

Be smarter than me, don't try to 'patch' your rusty ones to save money! What a boondoggle that was, except as welding practice :D

also check out ebay, I got some rockers and rear wheel area pieces for pretty cheap delivered.

in addition to just the floor pans, our kits include the front floor braces, drive shaft tunnel, inner rockers, so a lot of value for the bucks.

call kim for more info 216-541-4585

I see that the ems rocker panels don't have the oval holes cut out any reason for this?

Also check out Bradley floor pans. They are duplicates of the originals with the proper beads.

Does anyone sell floor panels for a '37 Buick? If not specifically for a Buick would the parts from the same vintage Chevy work, if those are available?

  17. I installed the ems rockers in my 50 tudor sedan, and the fit was pretty decent, Been working on the floor almost all summer and now into the fall, The ems kit is pretty decent, although with their rocker panels installed it seems to sit about half an inch lower than my stock floor did on the A pillars maybe just me? I think I would be farther along if I wasn't as scared to just do it(first full floor replacment).

"you've never lived until you've replaced the bottom 4 inches of a car all the way around. :D" LOL you have never wanted to kill yourself as much either

What shape are your toe boards in? Mine are in bad shape at the bottom.
