Two years ago some guys out of the german forum hot50s.de thinking about a projekt which allied two worlds of automotiv engineering, the east of europe (special the former east germany, named "the zone" from people living in former west germany) and the west, or the rest of the world with a mighty V8 and automatic transmission and the new frame. To build this car on the cheapest way the forum members makes a voluntary donation, or do some work on the one or other weekend, some of them drive around 400 miles one way to work on the car and have fun (and beer:D). The base is a fourdoor "Wartburg", build in the former german democratic republic, the car got a fat top chop, from 4 to 2 door, the mighty nose is from another GDR product, a framo truck, chanelled over the frame, shortened front axle and a lot of other minor body works till this day. The new heart 350cui/th350 (normaly 4banger with 50hp). The destination of this project is to see what is possiblewith this way to build a car and to find new friends even nuts as yourself. I wanna share this little video, enjoy it, may be with a little smile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bjo-6Fa0gn8

Off to a pretty good start!

What color is it going to be painted?

Not 100% sure, but we are thinking about a combo like the car was painted original in red/white and this in a silk flat, because the whole car had to say "not living and not dead". The colour discussion is not at the end from a vintage look up to a flat black and metalflake roof with lace painting is everything possible at the moment, we`ll see.
