I am looking to get these but wanted to ask, is there one better than the other? I didn't know if some companies make better ones than others, if so which ones. I don't want to get a vac gauge or dwell meter that are cheap and read incorrectly. Thanks

no, there has always been good stuff and bad stuff and so-so stuff. Odds of finding well made tools increases as you go back in time though.

I like the Sun Electric Stuff. The 50's 60's stuff is great. Ebay has them all the time. Older Snap On stuff is good also. The only thing to watch for is most took batteries, and if not changed would leak and damage the meter.

I'd be leary of old vacuum gauges. I used one for years that was an old SW 2 5/8". meant to be installed in a car but I kept it in my toolbox for tuneup use. I got it used about 1980. come to find out it was off by quite a bit.

Thanks Power I'll look up the brand. 49ratfink, thats what I'm worried about, that is why I was asking for a good brand that was accurate.
