turbo 400 or 700r4

how do you tell the diff. ??? my friend bought a 700 and another friend said it was a turbo 400. thanks for your help guys.

 

700 has no vacuum modulator. 400 has one on right front just behind the bellhousing.

 

an easy way is to look at the pan on the bottom http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/Transmission_identification
