Just gonna start out by saying this site is great! Full of helpful information, and years of knowledge!! With that said, My name is Gary, Im from Lebanon Ohio, located in Warren County. Just bought my first "Traditional Rod" A '54 GMC 3100. Although I know alot of Tradional Rodders frown upon it... It is dropped down on an S-10 Ch***is. Sports a throaty sounding 283/350 combo, and done up Old Skool style. Other than that, I own a '70 Impala, been slowly working on it for about 8 years. Several work trucks, a Jeep XJ, and then theres the wifes drop top BMW. I do plan on building a true traditional rod, using a frame I fould in the weeds at a farmhouse we were working on in Clinton County. Not really sure what it is, I will try to get some pics up when I get a chance to go pick it up. It was modified to use as some sorta trailor on the farm, It has spoke wheels and a Banjo type rear end, but thats the extent of what I could identify. I am married and have a station wagon full of kids ranging in ages 8-13. We own our own Business and do construction/contracting, everything from Landscaping to Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC to drywall, paint and construction. I hope to find alot of new friends here who share my love for these Blast's from the past vehicles we all love. In the past I have owned MANY types of cars and trucks. 50 Pontiac, Cuda, Impala SS, 52 Chevy, Porshe, VW's , Many Mustangs, 70 swb chevy and many more!! This is my shout out to all!!! Hope to see ya at the shows and swap meets!!! I'll post some pics of my stuff later on today. Looking forward to all things to come!!
Hers some pic's of the '54. I would've added them a few days ago, But my 8 year old has been sick, and he's a Daddy's boy!!
Just for laughs I included thiis pic. The car was something for the kids. It was a car show, but the car body had to be made of cardboard!! So we used a 2x4 ch***is, pvc axles, some Chevy steelies out back and a couple front motorcycle tires up front. A milk crate for the block, SBC valve covers, 3 1barrel VW carbs, and a VW fan shroud for a grill shell!! Didn't win, (lost to a painting van) But it was fun and got the most attention. REALLY got a bunch of looks taking it there cause it was the size of a real car and had to be trailered!!!!!
