Doug, thanks for the excessive number of pics, just the way I like it! The amount of serious iron was awesome, and a shout out to the lone 427 SOHC! Thanks!

It was great to see Denny win the A/FX show from the second alternate spot and with a 4-Speed and a REAL Stock Eliminator car,not some bloated, big inch hitter. He and his wife are very nice people and great to talk with.I ran him in the first qualifying session, two, three pedal cars having at it,TOO KOOL! My Comet turned out to be too slow to play on Sunday,OH WELL. ROY.

Congrats Vic on that awesome run at Bakersfield.
The 70-72 Vegas (hotrodded of course) are amongst my favorite Chevy bodystyles
and your car captures their look at their peak.
You're livin the dream, dude. Good luck to ya.

Back in the late '60's A/GS cars had B&M and C&O Hydro's for the transmission.... You could turn up / down the valve body pressure 'manually' on a race car by adjusting a nut on the top left of the transmission case.. I think that is what the 'ratchet' is there for................
