I have a good running 8BA in my 1950 ford. I what would be a good cam from isky. 3/4, max, or race? looking to go with edelbrocks 1126 heads and plug the holes to run it on 8ba. along with 3 holley 94's.
I figure these heads have higher cr. so I would need a smaller cam.

I don't think the CR will be that big a difference but the 3 94's will need some help if running all of them. Maybe a Jr. cam or have one ground. I guess what I would do is get the spec's and talk to a cam grinder. Good headers will help too. Sounds like fun, do some pics. when you get around to it.

I know the 3x2 looks bad*** but a Isky Jr with 2x2 would really be plenty for that flathead . Not too much over carb and real easy to set up . Seems the Jr. is a real good grind for a good running street car . Very popular cam .

400 Jr, Isky I think . Strong cam . Max is also a good grind too ! Look in Speedway catalogs

***uming you will leave the bore and stroke stock essentially,
3 carbs is way too much unless you use 81's.
If you want to retain good drivability either use s 53 Ford stock cam or
    an Isky 77B.
A 400 jr is for larger cubic inch engines.
It will make the wheels go around but you are not going to like it
    unless you are a masochist.
