Been working on my first project for a bit over a year now and pushed hard to get it on the road by October. See I got married 10/10 (I know, poor *******) and we both wanted to leave the church in it. She actually motivated me to make it happen (what a woman). So it's been a while since I've logged on being so busy and all. Had many hurdles to jump but got the car together and actually drives and handles right good. Suspension, steering, and especially the flatty feel and sound great. Still lots to do over the winter but very excited to have made it to this point. Have a few other friends getting their projects wrapped up. All looking forward to finding some cool East Coast events next year. Please let me know of any that you know of.
Be sure to check out this in May. Its a must go to event. www.jalopyshowdown.com congrats. She sounds like a keeper!... Yea you should keep the new wife too!!
I love reading about things like this. Your wife sounds like a true keeper dude. That car is cool! Id like to see it with some blackwall crusts though hehe..
Good thing you finished the rod BEFORE you tied the knot! Now you're on her agenda! Seriously, congrats to you and your beautiful bride!

Since we were engaged, leaving the church in the hot rod was all I requested for the wedding. Closer to the date and still much to do all she requested was that I get it on the road. I had talked about it and spent so much time working on it that she was looking forward to it also.
Very cool story, I have always found that unless I aim for a goal its easy for other things to get in the way. Sacrifices have to be made sometimes to meet deadlines, but you will look back on that one and remember it forever. now on to bigger and better things.
Congrats...great name for your ride and congrats on a beautiful and "hobby friendly" wife...wishing you many happy miles and years together
