Same here; if I want to listen to the radio, I'll take my modern ride....

While driving, I often opt for the radio, because for some reason, when I'm driving, especially if I'm in my '03 Mountain Grey T-Bird Roadster, I like the "unpredictability" of the radio, sometimes it's better when you DON'T know what you'll hear next... I tend to lean towards the "rock" side of the dial, although sometimes I like the "pop" side of the dial, stuff like Lady Ga-Ga, Beyonce, etc, 'cause that stuff is usually so awesomely sonically produced that it sounds real good, plus the T-Bird has a real high-end sound system... And sometimes when I want to know what I'm listening to, I play Type O Negative... I also like to play Big Stick mixes, especially driving home from the recording studio, it's always smart to check out your new mixes in the car... H*ck, I listen to classical, oldies, just about everything and anything musical when I'm cruisin'... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

I'm a big Beach Boys fan..but any 50's and early 60's rock n roll, doo wop, country, rockabilly, surf would do for me. :)

I don't have a sound system in my t-bucket, couldn't hear it if I did. I get off on the headers beating out their rhythmic sounds.

anything from ancient blues (i.e Son House) to early rock (i.e. Chuck Berry) to 60's garage rock (i.e. Amboy Dukes) to more mainstream 60's stuff (early Beatles) to 70's rock (i love Cheap Trick). In my opinion music quality kind of fell off after that, with the exception of a very few bands.

oh yeah check out the Blue Stingrays for the best evening cruise music you've ever heard. Rockabilly is probably the best old car driving music, but good rockabilly bands are few and far between. Too bad it isn't all like this:

The headers on my bucket make a sound system a no go, but the notes from the exhaust....... bliss. I have NEVER missed not having a radio or something like it in my T.

  10. I am so old:( I usually forget to turn on the radio

the 53 chev w 355SBC and headders is so noisey[wind noise] it is hard to hear the radio:eek: and it is almost impossible to talk [YELL] in the car and hear anything

and most of the radios on the others I dont even know how to turn them on [one is mounted backwards]

Hank Williams III, J.B. Beverley, Drive-By Truckers, to name a few.

I like to think my truck fits specifically Hank III's music pretty well.

  22. Currently? When I can't pull in Savage I hit the button for the new Skynyrd CD "God & Guns" that's been in my stereo for a good week now.
