Need 454 alternator number

Anyone know the oem number for a 454 alternator?? i know this is a shot in the dark but trying to cross reference number.

 

Im not going to be any help here with the number, but that question is pretty vague. Not all 454's ran the same alternator. Depending on extra equipment A/C, power windows, locks and such the amperage will be different.

 

Sorry..its a '77 truck 454. then number that we thought was right is not bolting up. now i am just trying to cross reference the oem number.

 

ot the right clocking? or missing the bracket? you can turn the cases if it is out of line

 

I generally use 350 alternators on 454s, but then I'm wierd.

if you do try to turn the case, make sure you understand about the brushes and the piece of baling wire you need to use to get them to stay in place when you put it back together!

 

ended up jst grinding the bracket down a little bit and everything worked fine...go figure
