I think the cab is in the right position because of the rear fender mounting points on the frame, and body panels.

Not home made vents. And yeah to bad, but it's not a (Rat) yet. It belongs to a friend and he bought it this way I think it can be saved.

I'll give the guy a call, and try to get more pictures of it especially the dash. That jump seat idea sounds cool. I also think this style of car and the other ones posted need to be brought back.

This to me is the best 2 door conversion of a 29 Dodge Victory 6l. Not as easy as the others but very nicely done

Google dantechfab for all the build pics

  3. canuck,

If you look at the Victory 6 Coupe Brougham body, it's a 2 door sedan that drops right at the middle of the rear fender (take about 12 inches out of the rear quarter window area)- a great looking car!

I had to back up my files a couple months ago, so no pics at the moment... maybe noboD can come to the rescue.

I'm not much help right now. Teh only pics of a Brougham I have doesn't show how short they are. The rear body stops about half way of the rear fender. I will try to get pics of the local Victory this weekend. The more I look at Ghost's bud's car I think it's a DA which could be '29 or '30. The dash will help.

  5. Ghost,

Suffice to say, that's a hard car to find and worth tackling if you're up to it!

Oh yeah. I e-mailed the owner and told him the same thing about being careful with it. He's the kind of guy that likes quality built hot rods, and customs. Maybe he will let me have a crack at it. Give me your impressions of where the build should go. full fendered, engine size, and so on. Still trying to get more pics for ya. Thanks

Yeah, the whole 55mph thing is going to suck.
Although, im sure ill be hitting the gas when i can.

Thanks man i would appreciate some pictures. I think the 6x12 will work great with room to spare. I got quoted 250 for one way, which doesn't seem all that bad to me. Nice plymouth by the way.

No worries, i know jack shit about these dodges and am more than happy to soak up some info. There will be pictures, ive never been good with taking pictures of anything that ive bought or built in the past. This one will be different, ill put the girlfriend in charge, ha.

Thanks for all the responses guys, any and all info is appreciated.

Pstreet, we will wait for more info when you get back. We need more pics. To continue with the hijack Ghost, the fenders are what make this body style so cool. They look so out of place they look modified. I would like to see what it looks like without them, but think I'd leave them on. IF this car is what I suspect, a '29 or '30 DA Brougham, the DBC club only shows 5 of these. They aren't very common, do it justice.

Well, getting ready to leave in a week. Uhaul has been a fiasco. Apparently, my truck is not rated to tow an open 6x12 trailer. However, somehow it is rated to tow a 6x12 enclosed trailer that weighs a few hundred pounds more than the open, at double the price. So I am now basically stuck renting one of their 5x9 open trailers.

My question being, can I leave the gate of the trailer down while i drive? The car would be strapped in and solid, so would I be able to drive this way as long as I flagged the tip of the frame rail? Anyone have any run-ins with the law over this?

Other option being to cut the frame and splice it back together later, but id really like to bring the thing home in one piece.
