I've had this on a grainey VHS tape for many years. Now that I have the DVD, I can tell ya, it's even more awesome. This is about as good as a drag racing documentary can be. Great footage, era-appropriate music and just captures the whole vibe of drag racing as it was. Well worth the $.
Sweet..well worth the 10 minutes i spent watching twice...need more Pam in it though :~)) Gonna put this on my x mas list
checked my mail and holly shit there super fast shippers 2 days got my copy today will be watching soon...jeffrey
"holly shit there super fast shippers 2 days got my copy today" Moses Every employee in the American Nitro shipping department is under strict orders to get every DVD order out before noon on the day it is ordered. Exceptions? There are none. Now, if I could just get those guys to not be passed out behind the fork lift by 2pm I would really be doing something. boont
Comet, This DVD is feature length. American Nitro was released in theaters across the United States, and around the world in 1979. It covers, in full color and sync sound, the golden era of drag racing. Many people write or call us saying that they have watched it 20-30 times and more. One racer came up to me last week and said, "Bill, first, thanks for making that movie. I have seen it 60 times already." I am a film maker, not a race car person. My team went out and switched on our sync sound cameras, you guys made the movie. I am just a witness. But, from what I'm hearing, and from what people in the sport are telling me, you better get this DVD. Ask some one else if it's any good, I can't say. bill director, A.Nitro
I remember renting this movie just after I bought my first VCR, the video store only had it on BETA, they converted to VHS for me, took about a week. That was a long time ago, haven't seen it since.
American Nitro is now on Facebook with some cool photos that people post on 1970s Funny Cars etc. Also, we finally got all the movie trailers up on our website. http://americannitro.com/trailers.htm Cheers, bill director, A.Nitro
American Nitro Facebook has well over 10,000 fans now and about 4,000 photos. Take a look if you are interested in nostalgia drag racing from the 1970s. boont
ive owned the vhs copy for 21 years i asked my mum to buy it from the video store because we'd rent it out every friday and i was pissed when we had to give it back. the guy had no problem with that and ive watched it religiously ever since, i know it word for word!
