Hi, next weekend will be the last of the season and didn't go before to the last .I went in june and the field was almost empty (rain), my question is for those who goes before to the last of the season. There is enough vendor to be worthy going? Thanks
Weather permitting, October is the busiest & best of the year. I'll be peddling my wares in spaces B88 & B89.
My experience last few years: April and Oct biggest and best. I try to arrive at first light. I try to cover all the vendors by 10, can start to wind down after that. Look at the cars last, some still arriving mid-late morning, unless going specifically with buying a car in mind. Range of availability of wares varies, some months a lot of tin others more parts, or more old garage tools. Seldom find the items on my highest priority list at the time but usually find some good deals on things I will be needing in the future or shop stuff I've always wanted but couldn't afford full tariff on new [prefer older better quality used equip over new "global" offerings]. Usually a worthwhile trip for me. Would plan on heading up Sun but Maxton LSR meet is priority for me, will have to wait until April. Others mileage will probably vary.
I'll be there. The first and last shows are always the best. Make sure you get there early or you will miss out! Hopefully the weather holds out.
No - you should not go. No other buyers should go. Except me,,, and the sellers. I have been to everyone this year except last month when it rained... Will be to the one on the 25th. You can stay home.
I had great time last sunday,i was there at 6:00am and seeing the frenetic ballet of flashlight and headlight was just plain fun.I found couple good deal and will surely repeat the experience next year. The weather was great. Buying part at the dim of a flashlight could be deceiving once the daylight come, but that parts of the experience. Pat
lookin at stuff by flashlight is always a great way to start the last Amherst swap...it's tradition and a great event I always have a good time at including this year!
