What a great junkyard. Looks like roof you wanted was mostly off the car already.

the wagon is bad ***, years ago my friend and looked at one that didn't have the engine. and missing some trim pieces . $500 was way to much to us then ( err no rust and sitting in a dry a garage for 15 years.

That's a '58, I know where a couple of those are sitting. Those tail lights are cool but they're kind of a ******* to get off, they're HUGE.

Were the 1958 88's the same body as the 58 impala, bonneville, lesabre etc.?

58 olds the king of chrome....

  25. A '58 Olds has more chrome reflecting back at you than one of Elvis' jumpsuits. Just dechroming one would take like 1000 lbs off it. Or about 3, 3 1/2 70s era Elvi.... (more than one Elvis is an Elvi, right?)

58 Olds and Buick share body shells. The taillights are a ***** to pull because at least on the Buicks, but I'm sure the Olds too, there are two layers of metal in the quarters - the outside body metal and an inner liner. Between that and the ladder frame with a big center X brace, they must have been pretty tough in a demo derby. When I pulled '58 Buick taillight housings, I ended up first cutting the outer quarter off, to save the trim on that, then I could unbolt the rest.

So, the 58 impala and bonneville were, sort of like, the "B" bodies (or "predecessors to the "B" and maybe the oldmoboggie/buick were the "C" bodies (or predecessor to the "c")?

Did cadillac also share/have this body?

i still think it would have made more sense for c,p,o and b to share the same body.

    NOTE: B body = impala/caprice, catalina/bonneville, 88, and lesabre

    C body= 98, electra, deville etc.

1957 Fiesta wagon, my father bought one new in 57, it was gray and white with a red interior and a red stripe between the chrome. Beautiful car, even with four doors it out cl***ed the 57 Nomad. First car I ever went over 100 mph in.
