Thanks Tony....the weather looks perfect this weekend....highs lower 70;s plenty of sun

 

Hopefully going later on Saturday or Sunday morning. Daily driver took a dump yesterday so have to fix that first. Plus my wife says I've spent too much this month. So will be on a tight budget.

 

I'll be heading over there in the morning for a while, as long as the rain goes away.

Man I scored a perfect rolling 32 frame, orginal......the best one I have seen lately

That was a nice frame. I understand, from the original seller, that the frame was sold more than once today, and doubled in price from $2K to $4K before the sellin' was over with...any truth to that? DD

I wish I had taken a pic....I made made a deal to buy the frame Friday...I gave a check and he agreed to hold the frame untill check cleared....we signed a contract...Saturday morning he came to my space and said he was going to back out of the deal as he was offered $3,500 for the frame...I said we had a contract..he said it didnt mattter....he said who ever has the cash in 15 minutes has the car...I raised 2 grand and handed him the 2 grand...5 minutes later another buyer came up and offerd me 4 grand...I sold it ...the original guy was pissed..i didnt touch the frame....so I guess I did good....I would have liked to keep it, as it was so nice...but I learned that money talks.....it was fun....Bill

 

Has i see it,if the seller woud have walked up to me and said hey friend i just got an offer from another fella with more money, would you like to split the differance i would have considered it seeing has though i was not any cash out of hand,but since he tried to screw you out right...**** him and cuddos and good form to you Brokenspoke.........KARMA WAS A ***** FOR HIM

Stories like this simply blow my mind.If i shake hands or give my word on a deal it is sealed in blood has far has i am concered...just my 2 worthless cents

 

HA HA that will teach the man from backing out of the original deal, Good score and sale, although you know the bay would have brouht 6K

 

Well the guy who bought it is a really nice guy....going to keep it traditional...I'm happy........

 

I know..I only had the borrowed 2 grand for an hour.....the friend I borrowed from needed to buy a car that afternoon....

After all was said and done the original seller felt bad about the what happened...I think the $$$ makes some do things they wouldnt do normally....greed I guess....I still believe a deal is a deal....I'm only as good as my word....we shook hands and parted.....still fun though

 

Good swap meet, there were more sellers there than I have seen in a long time. It was nice seeing and meeting friends.

 

Why doesn't **** like that happen to me?

Hey brokenspoke, great deal on the frame. Nice to meet you at the park, we had a blast this weekend.
I will try to get T. Ray and the guys together and plan a night for reliving the past.
