I have the chance to buy this 52 Desoto from a Co-worker. It has 22K Original Miles , Almost Rust Free , Inline 6 and Very Nice / Clean Interior . ***uming : Engine Turns over freely , Needs Battery , Brakes , Fuel System , Tune up work ...... and of course the " Ran When Parked " statement applies . What might it be worth ?
Willysdoctor 1000 to2000 There is a guy that has one of those around this area that is lowered wide whites steelies caps and rings . It draws a crowd because it is so different. He likes it for that reason and that is where the value is.
What do YOU think it's worth? If you think it's worth $2K, offer it up! Pick a price and go from there. You have to work with the guy.
an original black car? It's a no-brainer...worth 2500-3 grand to me. I see it slammed with buffed paint, split manifold, tan steelies with center caps...yeah!
How nice is the chrome on it? Will the paint buff out? I'm saying somewhere between $1200-$2000. More if it were a Firedome and/or a 2 door.
I have not seen the car in person yet. Just lots of pictures from owner. Scheduled to inspect the car this weekend . Paint / chrome ??? . We will see .
$300.00. all HAMB "what's it worth" cars are only worth $300.00 since they always come with limited description and photos.
yeah..12-1500 i woudl say..but then again..the grill and teh bumpers could pull that if they are in nice condition...which those look like they are.. tok
the grill is worth some bucks but not as much as the 53 grill. they have more teeth and they dont have those blinkers built in to them....but 2000-2500 It looks like a 4 door powermaster, not a hemi car.
Nice clean oldie, but little 'rod potential, if that's your aim. From your pix, four door? If you want to make some scene, seems a custom treatment is in order & sell the flatty to a DeS restorer to raise $$$ toward the drive train of your choice. The frumpy body lines are a throwback to the decidely NON-***y days when KT Keller was still heading MoPar, but the grille saves the car. When I was in high school, these were typical of the non-cool bombs the kids who couldn't afford anything better drove, and they don't look any snazzier decades later (don't mean to hurt any fellow DeS owners' feelings Mine's a '55 291 Fireflite). Just telling it like it was. My thought, in that condition, a '55-'56 Fireflite 4D might bring around 4-5 grand (WAY more for hardtop, of course). SO, as Patrick, Rocky & Squawblow said, this car is worth what YOU want to pay & are satisfied with, as LONG as it's within the $1,000-$3,000 range.
Well the grill is worth between 700 and a grand around here to the kustom guys. The rest of it is just a '52 desoto with a flathead 6.
if it's as clean as it looks in the pics, go for it. someone took care of it to keep it in that condition.
