just wondering how many hambers have their own shop. I have a body shop on the side that I have turned over to my son. what a blessing to have a place to work when I need it. I wish I knew now what I thought I knew back then.
Not sure if I qualify as a Hamber or not...we race a 63 Ford, have a 49/50/51 Ford and cater to the Nostalgia Super Stock crowd............... But it's Texas Thunder Performance in Frisco, Tx stop by and have a beer......... M.
I also have a shop.Private for my stuff, but never the less my shop.Probably would not stand a chance at working for the public and trying to make a buck..lol
I've got a 1500 sq. ft. shop I've been working out of for the last 15 years. Used to do alot of drag cars, now doing alot of gasser type stuff and tube axle work.
I have one. D&L Automachine. Keeps 2 of us plenty busy with cam grinding and engine building in the winter. Keeps one of us busy in the summer while the other goes racing. Keeps 4 of us busy partying on weekends year around.
I have a shop,if thats what you want to call it..hold 7-8 cars depending on size of car..Been trying to retire for the second time in my lifetime, but people just keep wanting shit done and the old SS check is never large enough.I am very picky on what I want to work on,but still have enough to keep me busy for a couple of years....
I have a 2800 square foot shop that i used to do commercial mech work, auto body and painting and exhaust repair and fabrication now just work on my own show cars and am liquidating the inventory , finally getting room for vehicles again after selling 6 large punch presses and a ton of inventory
www.alteredimagecustom.com Started in my 1.5 bay garage moved to a 1480sqft shop now we are in a 11,000 sqft shop 5 years later.
I've got a shop......sort of.....I work there, shop foreman, office bitch, machinist, or whatever else they want to call me. It's just me, Steve, Kyle and Jim, but we build some pretty cool stuff. Some of you guys have some cool shops, check ours out if you want, take the tour, we sell top quality go-fast John www.MorleyPerformance.com

Yep got the shop, retirerd, got the car apart and I'm haven fun. If it ever gets like work I'll go fishen.
Well, my shop has me more than anything else. Clarke Co. Speed, used to do drag cars and have transitioned more to hot rods. More fun, good people. It's about 3500 - 4000 sq ft, enough for 4 cars (2 cars in fab & 2 in mechanicals/finish work) plus sheet metal shop and machinery areas. As Zeke Justice once said, 'this is a comfortable shop, i could work here'. Got junk in the corners, some dirt and empty cardboard boxes layin about...not your prissy shop with mirror-like epoxied floors, this is a place where you can actually get something done. Mostly just me but often there are a few others working, 1500watt sterio with bose 601's & marantz twin 15's cranking out the roadhouse blues on a 300 disc CD changer. Got a web site, old pics, clarkecountyspeed.com; my avatar changes according to what i am currently working on.
