Cart before the horse in my honest opinion. I wouldn't even consider cutting on a car til it's at the very least a roller and preferably a runner. It's all about proportions and you've got nothing to base decisions on right now.

IMO I think 33/4 5 windows look best unchopped.

It absolutely should be on a welded chassis at ride height before any chopping. Fit the doors, too. And the decklid. Are you running a hood? Put it on.

It does not have to run first. It doesn't have to run untill you are ready to drive it.

4 1/2" in the front 4 1/8" in the back. Have fun!

Two in the front. One in the rear, leaving the rear window stock. Remove some of the high crown in the roof just over the hinge post.

don't chop it, it looks good as is.

  11. 1 1/2".

A bit of subtlety will have people wondering just what was done.

Or . . . you can chop it all to heck and gone and look like all the rest....

I like em uncut but cut also!

if your gonna cut it dont go too much or it will look squashed, id go 2-1/2 to 3" chop, just a good looking over all chop.

I dont usually base my chops off of how the car sits, chop it how much you want and get it sitting where you want.

No haircut here. 95% of 34`s out there are chopped I think these look cool just as it.

I like your thoughts. I may go just a shade less with a little down ward slope.

Oh i know its cut but it isn't a 5 window..The 5 window has the sweetest lines when they are not cut...3 window is a different story for me though...

Wait to cut it until you have a roller and the stance dialed in!!!!

And when you are ready to cut it refer to the Silva Special II that Bob Bleed Chopped a couple months ago. There is no finer example of a 5 window chop then that.

Ok, whatever Ian.;) I have seen your work. If you think it looks good, then it is good.

  29. i like em all. heres a few examples.

    Attached Files:

  30. Take the crown out and just nip it, like 3/4" in the back, 1 1/8" up front :D

Seriously, they look good cut and stock height - it's hard to do something different (if that's what you're after) but the tried and true 3" works pretty good.
