Questions.... On head off a SBC 350 heads.

Whats the easiest way to tell what heads I have. I was told they came off a 75-78 blazer.

How much difference do the 2.02 heads make over the 1.94's which i ***ume came on the 75-78

I will have the heads totally re-worked before i put motor together... any suggestions on what to have done to them...like vlaves, springs ect. ect.

BTW... the motor is going in my 30 sedan, 32 frame, 16 x 6 wheels with Bias plys, Ford 9 inch 3.73 gears, 700r ******, 3 x 2 intake set up and plan to run a mild cam.

thanks for the info in advance...

    Tony,
If you are changing the cam out, I would get the valve springs to match. Hope you got some 2.02 camel hump heads.

I run 2.02s and oversized exhaust vales on my 355. Is it necessary? I guess so, but it all depends on what you are doing with it. You really can't take a lot of advantage of the big valves until you get revved up.

You basic choices in your year range on heads is going to be open chamber or closed chamber, Look at the combustion chamber, is there a little nub around where the plug pokes through? The closed chamber heads won't have the little nub.

There are also some numbers between the rockers on the top side.

Look at the numbers then go to moretech and look them up.
