I registered today at noon and was only #1803 The cars and the crowd seemed to be down a good bit. Add in the weather ... cold, damp and looking like it was getting ready to pour down rain ( but never did ). I had a fellow ask me if I had moved my 3W from down in turns 3 and 4 and I said no. He said theres one down there that looks like your coupes TWIN. So I had to go see ...
Maybe the other guy will read this and get one of those fake 25 louver Rootlieb hoods like I've got so he can be part of the club. Not the REAL club..................the Wannabe 25 Louver Club. Of course if he does that he'll have to figure out what he'll buy with the $4,000 he saved by going with "implants". Frank
I just back back home from Charlotte. I agree that the crowds seemed less than in pervious years. It looked like rain all day, but only had a few "mist" sessions. Saw some neat stuff and had a $7.50 slice of pizza & Coke. Jim
maybe its just me but i think this is a sad story. such a beatiful car and you dont have the only one in town. ****ty.
Look they are both nice cars but this reminded me of earlier today I was browsing through Street Rodder or Street Scene one of those picture magazines and I was thinking nice cars but where are the differences, sure different paint different material inside different dash but all based on the same theme, aren't hot rods supposed to reflect the builder / owner's ideas not follow the crowd? But I suppose there's only so much you can do with a full fendered '32. And as I said they are both nice cars......
look good to me - do you think the economy is hurting the south shows even more than the other shows?
I do not know ... the weather was pretty SORRY ... Hopefully that was the reason it was not as large as the past.
Now come'on Randy, you surely didn't think that you would never see a twin of your car? I know cowl lights, but its a cl***ic look black and red steelies, I'm sure if you look in the bible its mentioned for '32's somewhere your car looks great, but got to ask, is the roadster playing up now your not driving her as much? is Jealousy creaping in? Talk about having the best of both worlds. Worth the wait I would think.
Just looking at the photo's there are a bunch of difference in the two coupes exterior wise,,HRP #1 Randy's car doesn't have a filled roof #2 no exterior horn #3 no coul lights #4 no blue dot taillight lens #5 no chrome rear fender welt #6 no exterior mirrors #7 the raidator shell on Randys car is filled #8 the stainless raidator shell bead has been removed #9 the car is running a 4 cylinder headlight bar #10 chromed bumper irons front and rear #11 and the rare 25 louver hood
but besides that, they are zactly the same i'm just sayin........,just like all the folks who's daddy or uncle who had one just like it!only it was red or a chebby or a c-dan.
Well, the South Carolina economy just got a BIG boost, Boeing in Seattle just announced last Wed that they have selected Charleston as the final ***y location for their 787 "Dreamliner", initially 3800+ new jobs for Boeing, not to mention all construction work that will be needed to build the facility and jobs for Boeing workers familys. Big loss for Everret WA and WA state, great for SC!!! The economy will be "SO" good that Randy can build his 3rd Deuce, what will it be Randy, A Sedan Delivery?? LOL Dave
