Event Coverage Hot Rod Jalopyrama - Annapolis Maryland

What a great setting for a Rod show - a large Armory with 30+ invited cars inside and a large outdoor fenced area. It was too bad that it rained all day, but still there were about 200 great cars that showed up outside. If the weather had been better there would have been double that number.
It was the biggest and best gathering of pre-1962 rods that I have ever been to, and it was right here on the East Coast!
The people running the show really had things well organized and made you feel welcomed. I would like to Thank The Rusty Nuts group for inviting me and my car to be a**** the 30+ great cars that were inside of the Armory.

Welcome to the Hamb!! I was there and saw your Ardun powered 32 coupe. What a beautiful car with history! There were many other very nice cars that people brought out for our viewing pleasure. Thank You all!!!

 

Did anyone see the 2 rods go at it ,on the interstate right in front of the armory and see the one spin out in the rain on the wet road?

 

I saw the end of it. I think the tank got in my line of sight when everybody gasped when I jumped to the side to get a better view. It was sliding backwards almost ending up in the median strip. He turned it around and continued on his way. Probably with a pant load. I don't know if he did more than a 180 but he never hit anything.

 

Jay said he saw the whole thing and the Model A did a 360 and kept on going!

I missed it but Lea from Stillrunnin told me that she saw it happen and it was a 360 for sure. Mike, since you are on this thread it can't be said enough.... this was another great event that you ran and thank you for making it happen.

Mike I just want to thank you and the rest of your posse for a great show. I truly was honored to have my car inside. Everybody was so nice, met some really great people and had a blast. I can't wait until next year

 

Then he did a 540! which is what I suspected. He came to a stop facing backwards and had to do a U-ey to continue toward the bridge.

I was talking to Vegas when I saw the two of 'em start to get on it and the one does a 360 and goes out of my view behind the vans. When I didn't see him come out from behind the vans right away, I thot he went in the ditch. Then, I saw him slowly accelerate from behind the vans heading east. He definitely had a dark colored interior after those gymnastics.

Great pics

... I saw the "slide" start to finish and I never saw him go all the way around. He was sideways to the right, sideways to the left and then spun around to the right, backing up into the gr*** between the ramp and Rt 50, he then got right back into it spinning it around to the right and getting outta Dodge as quick as he could.

 

I also saw him do the 180 and come to a stop, then whip it around and keep on going.
