Out with the wood and in with the metal. This was not near as bad as I thought it was going to be. Used 1-1/2" x 3" tube for the subrails. This weekend I will tie it all together, going to use 1-1/2" and 1" SQ tubing for that. Will post pics. Getting closer...

Cool deal. I thought about making mine into a 2 door as well. I'm 6'-3" and once I get my seat mounted there will be to no room in that back any way. If I slam her in the weeds the back door wont open... I am on the fence. Please post some pics. I would like to se the progress.

Very nice guys. I did the same on my 28 chevy took all the wood out and made it into a sedan delivery. And you are right it's not that bad, and the metal welds better than wood...John

29 rattrap, Nice car!! Yes, she will sit high. If I drop her, I will need to put a wider rear end in.

Are you going to lower that thing or what?! :)

I too suffer from tallness in a model a. How do you plan to fit?

What's the plan for the rear side windows?

    Nice project!

Theyre getting smoothed out into one big window once the body gets mounted to the frame
as far as fitting, im going to put the seat a little further back than normal

Spent a few hours on the car this weekend. Got the bondy mounted to the ch***is. Nice having all the cross bracing out of the way. Started on the floor supports.

I got all the wood out and metal in. I went wood floor rather than metal. Interior is about done; need to do the dash and gauges. Running brake lines this week. Getting closer!!
