Man someone who finally thinks the way I do!

Actually berzerk, I bought my car as a race car because there were plenty of them out there. I thought to myself, "why take another one and cut it all up?" so I plunked down cash and bought me one. I used to have a Dodge I raced. When I changed cl***es to run Nostalgia Super Stock, I was going to go for another Dodge but that cl*** is mostly Dodges, mostly 65 Coronets to be exact. I figured there were enough of them already and got something different.

As far as guys who build their own, More power to you. It's a shame that someone has a different taste than you do, How dare me! I really like 55's, that's why I own two, just think there are enough 55 G***ers already, plenty of them for sale that have already been cut up, If that makes me a ****, than so be it.

I will bow off now so the real men with there BIG Keyboards can beat me up some more. Y'all can all jump on the bandwagon.....and I will run you any day of the week in my Non G***er Junk..;)

Still looks like a nice Job dragcr50...

I always use chevy . a little more flexible in how you do it. with some engines you have to move steering arms etc and they can with chevy and not with ford... didnt know there was a price diff ..

Nice work, dragrcr50. It was a pleasure meeting you at MAD last month. I've got the 4" drop axle under my Chevy II now, and the rest of the frame work is almost finished. Looking forward to racing with you and your wild bunch next year!

Really nice work...............brings back a lot of memories for some of us "Ole Guys".
Back in 1968 a guy by the name of Scotty worked at Exhaust Specialities in Portland, OR.
He had a 55 Belair Htp and was one of the first people to run a straight axle in a 55. He used a 55 Chevy 1/2 axle and springs.......................that is what went into my 48 Chevy coupe in 1969, the only issue I ever had is that I lost about 10' of turning radius.........but I didn't care at the time, going in a straight line was what it was all about, not turning sharp corners..............................I love the look now and loved it 40 years ago. I don't care how many g***ers are out there now............................it's like making a motor to make as much HP as you can, You Can Never Have Enough!

    IMHO

Perfect placement of the wheel within the wheel opening on the fender. I like the gold spokes too. Are those old wheels or new?

hey i was wondering.. what are you using for the shackle hanger mounts? I know some people use trimmed off leaf springs welded to the frame... is that what you did?
    thanks...

    Meatball,

No, I don't remember a "Rootbeer" Chevy. Scotty's was two tone green/white. Also a friend that worked at Ron Tonkin parts department on Broadway...........back in the day........also
had a tri5, green/white with a very nice 327 with 671 on top, and then there was the "Greek"
who had a green 54 Ford with a trick 406 Ford/4spd. I was married in 70 and had a "healthy"
    64 with built 327/4spd............picture inclosed.

that is a wonderfull job, so don't get me wrong... BUT I am always confused when this type of thing happens.. Is there not one person in the state of Texas, that can do this job.????????? I wonder why people send their cars to California to get body work, then off to Arizona to get joe-blow, flown in to paint it.. Then off to Florida to get upolstry... ya get the idea.. just could never figure out, with ALL the car guys around, why does this happen... anybody know.?? I know a lot of "gold chainers" do this for bragging rights, but the comman guy ?? just me thinking out loud
