Arrived Christchurch NZ yesterday

    nov 7 = car cruise by American cl***ic car club contact lorraine 03 3278686 or gary 03 3842151 meet at 6 at new brighton mall.

    nov 8 = USA day at gladstone park Woodend, phone lorraine or gary

    nov 22 = north canterbury rodders run to gore bay, meet 10.30am at brew house in Rangiora

    Jon, current plans have us crossing to the West coast and slowly making our way to Invercargill. So your suggestion fits our plans well. Now if I can just relax into this Righthand drive thing. Regards, Ron

    There is a lot of american iron in the south. how long are you touring for and where are you heading , I will see if i can sort some other sights to see.

    Forgot to mention the burt munro weekend is on at the end of november , if you are into
    bikes, my club is organizing an americana type car show the same weekend. www.burtmunrochallenge.com ,have a look at the web site for what is on.

    You are always welcome for coffee at my place.

    Yup thats why me & my family live here in "GODSZONE".We aint heading back to that sh%$ hole again.Just come back from 9 days of touring around the west coast of the south island in my gals t/bird,man what a blast.I aint seen anything like the country side in the south island before.
    How long are you here for & are you doing both of the islands,,Deadbeat

    Re; USA Day, It's a shame that they don't let the hot rod clubs know what's going on.... saw a flyer about it for the fist time yesterday, didn't realy look at it so I hope that they aren't going to charge $10 per car like last year !

    Hey seabee, if your hitting the North Island I'm in Hastings on the east coast. Always a hot cuppa or a cold ale. And I'm sure we could find a shed or two to look in and a car or two to cruise in. PM me:)

    The invercargill show is free entry for cars and there is a prize for entrants choise $800
    worth of GT radials.

    this one has had a lot of local advertising, I guess next year more out of town adverts
    will happen.

    Hi PM me when you hit the Tron (Hamilton) always welcome few sheds to visit and the Cambridge swapmeeting is on 15 Nov. Vintage car swapmeet allways good to get a few bits off those guys

    i visited back in april and found rods and old car stuff everywhere i went,all the tourist stuff was great except the chocolate factory in dunedin,complete waste of time and money and it dont taste like cadburys,****ord sound in the storm was cool

    You're right about the NZ Cadburys, its ****. My girlfriend (she is English) and I lived in London for a couple of years, and couldn't believe how bad (tasteless) the Cadburys was when we got back home. Now we always buys tons of the stuff when we visit England, and end up paying the price for overweight luggage when we check-in for our flight home.

    Hey fellows, Stopped for a couple of days in Invercargill. Went to the Hammer Hardware and studied Bert's stuff for a couple of hours. Called you Jon got answering machine I apologize for not leaving a message. Stayed in Invercargill at the Nicest B&B on the earth. Right now back in Christchurch. Perhaps it's time to loop around the other way or visit the North island. We'll see. Regards, Ron
