OK, so I'm another new guy on the forum, I think my tastes fit in with you guys, but my rides may not... I'm not at the point that I can really afford old iron, as badly as I want to, so I'm havin to settle for a lowered eurobox, and a scary-as-hell Japchopper. I'v also got an old Barracuda that's bein built with a mid 60's drag flair, not really AFX, or gasser, but nose-high with steel wheels...I love the old rats and trads, and hope to be able to build one once all the kids are a little older! Any hoo, that's my in a really small nutshell!
Welcome to the dark side. If you ever get a hankering for old steel, you can build a Model A pretty cheap. Between craigslist and local swap meets you can find a stalled project cheaper then it takes to build a lowered eurotrap. I picked up my 30 Tudor out of Salisbury NC myself. The Charlotte swap meet that happens twice a year at the track is good hunting too. You would be shocked at how cheap you can pick up a stalled Model A project that someone put aside 5-10 years ago and then all the kids came along.
