Quick question - how far apart are the frame rails on a 42-47 Ford truck?

Are the rails parallel front to back and flat on top?

The rails look parallel, but they aren't nor are they flat on top. Mine measures 27 1/2 " o/c at approx the motormounts and 29 3/8 o/c at the rear crossmember. it is a widest in the middle area. There is also a slight kickup over the rear axle. I can get more precise measurements if you'd like.

Truck Sales Handbook list the frame at "34-inch wide truck type frame".
Ford trucks (1/2 ton) from 42 thru 72 are the same width. Have one sitting on a 67 1/2 ton ch***is, needed to cut frame off at front to clear the sheet metal, and use several universals to connect steering, had to use non stock column.
I have a rolling 46 ch***is in the garage if you need definite measurements.

I guess if you have it handy...

Can you measure the width outside to outside and inside to inside of the rails at the front and then the same at the rear. Also outside to outside at the widest point.

    Thanks
